Urgently Required Job Title: Front Office Receptionist
Reports to: Front Office Supervisor
Duty station: Chester House – Nairobi
Key task
Responsible for delivering friendly, efficient customer service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests, with the key aim of retaining and attracting new customers.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service, at all times
  • Assist in keeping the front office reception area clean and tidy, at all times
  • Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
  • Administer all reservations, cancellations and no-shows, in line with company policy
  • Keep up to date with current promotions and apartment pricing, to provide information to guests, on request, while maximizing room sales’ opportunities
  • Fulfill all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety
  • Provide reports, as required, for housekeepers and management
  • Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests and the emergency services
Job specification of Front Office Receptionist
  • Diploma or a Certificate in front office  operations from Kenya Utalii College or equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience in hospitality industry; specialty in handling front office operations will be desirable

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Kenya serves vulnerable populations in the Turkana and Garissa regions as well as in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
The IRC implements programs in the areas of comprehensive primary health care, nutrition, protection, peace building, water and sanitation and hygiene (WASH), HIV/AIDS prevention, response to gender based violence, disaster risk reduction (DRR), livelihoods and governance. Applications are invited for the following position:
Most At Risk Populations (MARPs) Nurse

Description To  provide quality  services to  Most at risk population (MARPs) clients
Key  Responsibilies:
  • Manage the day to day running of the MARPS Clinic.
  • Prepare for and assist the doctors during special clinic Days for MARPS and whenever required
  • Ensure that all required observations, prescribed treatment and procedures are properly carried out and documented on patient’s charts.
  • Refer to the doctor in charge or to the doctor on call relevant information such as patient’s status and laboratory results, which would assist in proper clinical management of The MARPS clients.
  • Perform bedside nursing.
  • Arrange and submit weekly work schedule and plan daily duties and responsibilities for each of the refugee incentive staff.
  • Record and keep patient Files as required
  • Escort MARPS patient to other referral hospital when necessary.
  • Do MARPS Clinic coverage and on-call as required.
  • Participate in camp health surveys/campaigns.
  • Support the Prevention with Positive Facilitators and other incentive HIV refugee staff be may be required
Required qualification:
  •  Diploma/Degree In Nursing/ or its equivalent in a relevant field is required.
  • Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in implementing MARPs related activities in a busy clinical set up
  • Trainings on management of HIV related infections including STIs, Opportunistic infections, clinical management people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and Rationale use of ARVs
  • S/He must possess ability to analyze and interpret both quantitative and qualitative program data.
  • Ready to work in difficult environmental conditions
  • Previous working experience in MARPs programs
  • Proper counseling knowledge and skills
  • Previous working experience in HIV programs

The Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Industrialization established under the Industrial Property Act 2001 to administer and promote industrial property rights (IPRs) in Kenya.
Its main functions include registration of patents, trademarks, industrial designs, utility models and technovations; promotion of innovative and inventive activities; dissemination of IP information to the public, screening of technology transfer agreements and licenses and offering of training in IPR.
The Institute wishes to recruit staff to fill the following post: Senior Trade Mark Assistant

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Higher National Diploma.
  • Computer literate and working knowledge of IPAS and other IP databases.
  • Knowledge of the national, regional and international Trademark registration systems.
  • At least three (3) years as a Trade Mark Assistant I or six (6) years experience on practical aspects of trademark registration processes.
  • Accounting skills.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Carry out formality examinations in conjunction with examiners.
  • Collect and collate data for inclusion in the Industrial Property Journal.
  • Be responsible for implementing performance targets for officers under him or her.
  • Custody, maintenance and ensure accuracy of registers to be maintained under the respective Acts.
  • Keep record of official and personal searches.
  • Undertake official searches as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Be responsible for filling of all correspondence and user documents relating to trademark applications.
  • Be responsible for effective implementation of post-registration activities relating to trademark matters.
  • Be responsible for file movement and tracking within the registry.
  • Be responsible for the accuracy and updating of data in the Institute’s IPAS database for the respective registry.
  • Be responsible for inducting and training new staff deployed to the registry.
